The Review: Falcon And The Winter Soldier S1E2-E4

“The Star-Spangled Man”

My late ass. I haven't stopped watching this show, I just haven't been writing about it. I have also been watching other shows. On this episode The new Cap aka Walker is interviewed and they talk about what a great soldier he was. I don't care. I don't like him. He got obvious anger issues of some kind that are gonna show up. The Flag Smashers and their leader this super soldier woman named Karli are stealing some medicine when Bucky and Falcon show up to stop them. Suddenly Walker (I ain't calling him Captain America) and his partner Lemar show up and shit gets out of hand. The bad guys get away and Walker wants Bucky and Sam to work with him. They want none of his shit. Bucky knows someone they should talk to so he and Sam head there and meet this old man named Isaiah. Turns out he was tested on for the super soldier program and they put him in prison for thirty years and used his blood. 

He wants them to get the fuck out of his house. Sam and Bucky are arguing in the street wen cops show up and immediately want to arrest Sam until they realize he is Falcon. Assholes. Bucky does get arrested for missing his meeting with the therapist. He gets bailed out by Walker but still has to go to therapy. Sam joins him and they decide that after this is done they will never see each other again. Bucky suggests they go talk to Zemo which is a terrible idea since he can say a few words and turn Winter Soldier back into kill mode. This was a great episode and I was shocked that they actually touched on the Black super soldier program (you all didn't really think they would test that shit out on a young blue eyed blond haired White kid did you?) and bringing Zemo back.

“Power Broker”

In this episode Bucky meets up with Zemo and proves that he is no longer under the control of Hydra or anyone else. He sets it up so that Zemo can escape from prison during a riot which pisses Sam off. Zemo says they can track down the super soldier serum and where it comes from. Zemo has Sam pretend to be someone else and for Bucky to pretend he is still the Winter Soldier to convince this lady named Selby who has the coolest voice. Sam's cover gets blown from a phone call from his sister and Selby is killed by someone from outside. They make a break for it and Zemo escapes. Outside while on the run Zemo is caught and they are found by Sharon Carter who is now officially a bad ass. They find the scientist that was working on the serum but was Blip'd and returned and no one cared anymore. Zemo shoots him dead. The Flag Smashers raid one of the Global Repatriation Council facilities for supplies...and Karli blows it up because she getting hardcore. Zmo, Sam, and Bucky are travelling in Latvia when Bucky stops and says he is going for a walk. He finds a couple of devices and is confronted by Ayo, one of the motherfucking Dora Milaje! I smile whenever I see any of them. They warm my heart. Ayo wants Zemo. Why? He killed King T'Chanka! Bucky got some explaining to do!

“The Whole World Is Watching”

Ayo lets Bucky know that he got eight hours before the Dora Milaje are coming for Zemo's ass. Bucky lets them know. Sam tries to talk to people and find out where Karli is and where a gathering for a woman she cared for is being held. The people don't trust his ass. Zemo meanwhile knows exactly what to say and what kids to talk to and gets the information. Sam goes and has a talk with Karli about grief and the fight she is starting. Walker and Lemar show up and he handcuffs Zemo and wants to barge in and start fighting. Bucky tells him to calm his shit and wait ten minutes. He jumps the gun right when Sam is making great progress and all hell breaks loose. Zemo tracks down Karli and shoots her. She ain't dead but she hurt. He also crushes all the vials of serum. He knows that shit being out in the world is bad. Walker finds him and keeps a vial for himself. Ayo and one other Dora Milaje show up for Zemo and Walker steps to them. Sam and Bucky are like “You don't want that smoke” and he has the nerve to lay his hand on Ayo. Everyone gets their ass kicked. Everyone! Zemo bounces. Ayo turns off Bucky's arm and the shit falls to the floor. He didn't even know it could do that. The other Dor Milaje picks up the shield of Walker's and Ayo tells her to leave it. Walker is like “Whaaaah! They didn't even have super powers!”

Karli gets a hold of Sam's sister and tells her to tell Sam to meet with her and also threatens her family. They meet and of course Walker and Lemar ruin everything. During a chase Lemar is captured. Everyone is fighting and then Lemar gets his chest caved in and he smashes into a wall dying. Walker loses all his shit and chases down one of the Flag Smashers. He asks where Karli is and smashes the guy to death with the shield. Like, in front of dozens of people who are recording it all on their phones. Sam and Bucky walk up on it like “This is gonna end so bad.” And it will. Walker got some of that serum in his body now. Crazy fucker is not super, his friend is dead, and he just murdered a man in cold blood. Two more episodes to go and I don't know how this is gonna end.
