This week L and I watched this series on Hulu. Its in three parts and a pretty easy watch being less than an hour each. This follows three women in particular at the start that all fall for the same guy using different names. There is Annette (the thirsty one). Roxy (the old, married one). And Gaby (the German who don't learn lessons). They are totally being scammed and giving this guy between one thousand bucks to over a million. No, they have never met him. When we watch scam things online me and my lady always wonder where these people get all this money to throw away from. Like Annette who is a waitress gives like 40,000 dollars to this guy. Roxy sneaks and has this fake fling with the guy while being married for over 50 years and is bored with her husband. And Gaby who we still aren't sure if she is still married goes as far as selling her childhood home to give money to this dude.
At the end of one of the episodes they show the guy whose photos and video have been used to scam not just these three but hundreds if not thousands of women. When they first show him he is literally up the street from me and being gay as all get out. This poor dude keeps getting emails from women saying he is a scammer and where is he at and such. He tries to find all the people pretending to be him but it is literally impossible. No social media truly wants to delete a member because members equal money so they continue to allow people to get ripped off. The guy whose face is used even meets up with the women in real life and spends time with others online where he just gets an emotional dump from them. I personally would just send out a mass statement because I do not have enough time or energy to listen to all these trauma dumps.
Gaby ends up tracking a scammer who says he can help her find her scammer. He used to be a scammer. She gives him half a million to start up a business. In Nigeria. Who uses a kitty cat avatar. Like, what the fuck?! Even the dude whose photo scammed her looks at her like “Have you lost your mind?!” Annette wishes that the guy in real life was not gay and has this stank look on her face when he is talking to the other women. This man is very gay. Leather daddy, boyfriend, whipped in clubs gay. The scams are still going and I just wish that someone sees this or their friend does and recognizes the guy and realize that they were are taken for their money. That is the good I hope comes from this.
