IT Welcome To Derry Episodes 3 & 4
Oh god this show gets more insane with each passing episode. Shaw, the military dude running everything, is shown as a child in Derry with his military father. He goes into the most not fun looking fun house ever created and eventually ends up seeing this bony old man with missing eyes. Shaw gets a slingshot from his dad and their car breaks down. He meets a young Native girl named Rose. They hang out and one day Shaw heads into the woods where he gets chased by the bone man but its really Pennywise chasing and about to kill him until Rose uses his slingshot to hurt him and they escape. After this she tells the story of the woods. She will regret this. As adults Shaw visits Rose who is working at a pawn shop and lies to her what all the digging the military is doing is really about.
Hallorann is taken up in a plane to use his Shining to find some more information. Leroy and his friend are watching as Hallorann just sits there quietly holding Shaw's cigar box until he starts to zone out and have fits. He opens the back of the plane and is about to jump out until Leroy saves him. Meanwhile in his head Hallorann saw Pennywise's place, floating bodies, and his dead grandmother.
The kids plan on going to the cemetery to summon spirits in the hopes of seeing It. This is a terrible idea. Lilly and Ronnie bring Will (Leroy's son) and Rich into their plan and I hate it cause I like those boys and no one is safe on this damn series. The head there and start doing chanting and such based off of Rich's thinking of what his uncle did in Cuba to communicate with the dead. The shit don't work until it does. Next thing you know they running from the ghosts of their dead friends and Rich's uncle. They trying to take pictures to use as evidence that Ronnie's father is innocent of killing the boys in the theater. Will ends up in a mausoleum with Pennywise, snaps a photo, and gets away. It was a lot.
The kids take the photos from the cemetery to the police and they give zero damns about them. The images of the dead kids don't show up on any of the images but a blurry one of what appears to be a clown does. Lilly goes to this lady from Juniper Hill but she has nothing for her. Will tells his friends that he thinks that the creature feeds off of their fear and is trying to make them even more afraid before he eats them. Later while fishing with his father, Leroy, Will is attacked by what appears to be his father all burnt saying that Will is gonna burn too. This sucks because it is true. Now Leroy wants to know what the hell is going on in Derry because Will has burns on his arm while standing in a damn fishing pond.
Leroy's wife Charlotte goes to visit Ronnie's dad who is gonna be taken to Shawshank soon for the murder of the kids in the theater. He is innocent but can't tell her why he can't tell her the full story. I thought Charlotte was a busybody but she is actually proving to be a good adult on this series which is rare in Derry. Meanwhile Lilly's former friend Marge is still trying to be cool with this raggedy ass Pattycake girls and helps in playing a prank on Lilly. Lilly goes to the bathroom to freshen herself up and Marge starts to get a case of the guilties. Lilly is in a stall when Marge's eyes bulge out of her head like a snail they saw in a film during class. She runs out of class with Lilly chasing her down. Marge runs into a shop class to saw her new snail eyes off and succeeds! Lilly is trying to save her and takes a knife away just then kids rush in and see a bloody Marge and Lilly holding a knife. This poor girl can't beat the crazy allegations.
Leroy confronts Shaw about the crazy shit happening in Derry and that Shaw knew it was crazy but had him and his family move there. Shaw is like “You asked to bring them, so...” Shaw asks Leroy to come with him. Hallorann is with Rose's nephew Taniel who was snatched by the military for snooping. Hallorann gets into this kids brain and gets the entire history of It and how and why it was captured. It was the most thorough explanation of this creature I had ever seen and me and my lady loved it. Hallorann now knows where they need to go to capture the creature which is still one of the worst ideas. Like, how do you even begin to control something that uses your own worst fears against you.
