Well, I was wrong. I was talking trash after finishing last season which I loved and saying that this was the final season and that I hoped that it wouldn't continue because there was no way that it could stay interesting with such a premise as murders happening just in the building. This season fucking ruled and by the end of it me and L. were excited that there would be one more. I have no idea how the writers of this show have managed to make now fifty episodes of a series continue to be interesting, funny, and surprisingly touching at various points.
This starts where last season ended with the murder of the doorman Lester just after Oliver's wedding. Had me thinking that Lester was just the nice doorman but he had an entire ass life with his wife and was training a new guy. Turns out he was also the doorman for a secret casino located underneath The Arconia. There is also another murder that begins with finding a severed finger. Three billionaires that are attempting to takeover the building. A robot Lester. The mob. A creepy trash man. A popstar moves in. Oliver's psychic wife. It is so much weird ass stuff going on in this season but somehow it all makes sense. This show doesn't make you feel stupid as you go along. They leave just enough bread crumbs throughout to keep you invested and after each episode we couldn't wait for the next one.
By the time we found out who the actual killer was and how it happened I didn't feel as bad as when I didn't figure out who the killers were in previous seasons. I am gonna keep my opinion to myself on whether or not this show needs another season considering how hyped I was at the end of the finale. This show deserves so many awards and more people talking about it. It is so rare these days to find a show that can make it past two seasons and still be good let alone five. Seriously. Think about a show you used to watch and honestly think of how many seasons were good. The only show I can think of off the top of my head that kept me this entertained for so long was Barry.
Steve Martin as Charles-Haden Savage
Martin Short as Oliver Putnam
Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora
Michael Cyril Creighton as Howard Morris
