The Review: Reacher Season 2

Reacher Season Two 10/10

I fucking love this show. What I like most about it is that when a season ends even if they didn't bring it back (they are though!) there aren't any lingering questions. Besides, you could just read the books as well. They're very good and will make you hate the Tom Cruise movies. This season starts off with a man being tossed from a helicopter. I was like “That's a hell of a way to go.” Meanwhile Reacher is in a small town about to use an ATM and while waiting a nervous woman is in front of him. He talks to her and is told that she has her son in the car and a man with a gun is having her withdraw money. Reacher beats this man like a drum and them heads back to the ATM and sees a secret message on his receipt. Neagley (who is one of the coolest characters on television right now) knows that Reacher has no house, phone, or way to get in touch with him so she used military codes for assistance needed.

Someone is killing former members of the 110th Special Investigations Unit which is a group that Reacher was in charge of back in the day. One by one bodies are turning up and Reacher gets progressively more pissed as the season goes on trying to figure out who is doing it and why. They suspect its a former member of the team. They meaning everyone but Reacher. While out looking for clues and bodies to soon be made into corpses Reacher goes to confront a car tailing them. He kicks the damn bumper setting off the airbag inside and kicks the guys ass. Turns out he is a detective named Guy Russo. I don't know how but this show makes me like cops. Like, cops on the show. Not real life. Russo wants to fight Reacher so bad that I thought it might just happen.

As the season goes on I thought that maybe a former team member named Swan was having these killings done. Them this crazy ass guy named A.M. Then there is a man named Langston who is a pure son of a bitch and not likable in any way. So many options! This season had killings happen in ways I'd never seen before. Good clues and detective work that made it impossible for me to solve but not in a bad way. The people who do this are just far better at it than me. The acting was somehow even better than the first season which I enjoyed quite a lot. The flashbacks were handled in the perfect way for the right amount of time. I have no complaints about this show. Cool ass music. A monster of a man that owns the role of Reacher so well that no one else will be able to do it. Action scenes that are sudden and violent. I love this show.
