The Review: Paradise

Paradise 10/10

No spoilers!!! I loved this show. For days I have been trying to figure out how to watch this. I had one of my friends suggest it to me and dragged my ass. Then I watched the first two episodes and my ass was hooked! I got my lady into it and we watched the last few episodes together and would spend a bunch of time talking about it and speculating afterward. I even got to talk about it with my cousin JP who also watched. I am putting off getting started because I do not want to spoil this but I can't really write a review without doing so but I am gonna try.

This series is about investigating the death of the president, Cal Bradford. This starts off with him being killed and I thought that this series was gonna be just about finding out who did it. Xavier Collins who works for Secret Service is his right hand man and is the one to find his body and begin trying to figure out who did it while also being a suspect. That is all I am gonna say. In a few months I will write more about this and share a bunch of spoilers. I really want people to check this out on Hulu and enjoy it. I know some folks don't care about spoilers but this show can be spoiled so easily.

The acting in this is incredible from top to bottom. There are no weak links in this. The way this show is written is incredible and made me super jealous because when writing making a mystery is one of my biggest weaknesses. I love trying to figure out who done it and when finding out who being wrong. When the answer was given I wasn't mad but seriously impressed with how it was done and by whom. The music was great (presidents playlist) as well as the score to the series. Episode seven had me feeling all kinds of anxious. Seriously, just an amazing show that I want more people to watch. I have not seen many people reacting to it or reviewing it online but the few I have seen existed are Black people. Do people think this is a Black show because of who the star is and for whatever reason don't wanna review it? I follow some channels and its not even on their future list of things to watch. I wish one of them would because they (and you if you're not watching this) are missing out on one of the best series to come out in over a decade.
