The Review: Y2K

Y2K 1/10

Last weekend I was just scrolling through Max and say this movie and decided to check it out. Its one of those movies with random people I knew from other movies and shows and one of the actresses is in that Snow White movie everyone is shitting on. I can't tell if this movie wanted to be scary, funny, heartfelt, or action packed. It failed at every one of those aspects. This movie was not funny at all, never scary, the gore was cheap looking, and the story was weak.

Its 1999 and the threat of Y2K is happening. I lived through it. Left work early just in case the power went out, got a weak midnight kiss, and took my ass to sleep. Whatevs. This kid Eli hangs with his friend Danny and doesn't want to seem lame. His friend Danny makes friends easily which makes it weird he even hangs with this kid. Eli likes Laura. They are both smart with computers and shit. Y2K happens and machines start cartoonishly killing people at the big party. Computers want to take over and its up to these assclowns to stop it. And they do with the help of a condom and Limp Bizkit. Yeah. I don't know why I sat through this shit. This was one of the worst movies I've actually finished in a while.

Julian Dennison as Danny
