I finally was able to check out this movie. I have enjoyed this strange renaissance that Predator as a character has had. From movies to an animated series people have finally realized that you can do so much with this clicky bastard because you aren't tied down to one timeline or even planet. So this is about Dek. He a runt and his father wants him dead. Dek's brother Kwei wants to protect him but father is like “Kill his weak ass.” Kwei throws Dek onto a ship and sends it off as he is killed by his father. These creatures do not play. Dek heads to get this creature and bring it back to prove he belongs. I shit you not, before he even lands on the planet its trying to kill him. Flying things attack him first. He lands on the ground and trees attack him. The grass cuts him. Flowers shoot darts. Fuck this place.
He stumbles upon an android ripped in half that belongs to Weyland-Yutani that he uses as a tool to help him. They also find this little money cat thing and the rest of the movie became incredibly predictable. I was fine watching a movie about this creature earn his stripes and fathers respect or even go back and whoop his fathers ass. But when the android showed up I sighed and then more androids showed up and I knew what was gonna happen with the creature and...yeah. At this point just give me a movie about the history of these Predator monsters. How come they look the way they do? How do they have such futuristic shit but seem to live tribal?
Elle Fanning as Thia/Tessa
Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as Dek
Reuben de Jong as Njohrr
