I watched a few movies and TV shows over the last few weeks and have been not writing reviews like I should so I am gonna cram them all into this one post. Okay? Good. Now lets get started.
Frankenstein 9/10
This movie was great and I wish I had seen it in theaters but since it was on Netflix they had it in theaters for a few weeks. My lady watched this and knew I would like it but I dragged my ass to watch. I did and it made me remember how much I like Guillermo del Toro and the way he does everything. From music, scenery, acting, writing, directing. The man is amazing. I admittedly do not give a damn about Frankenstein but this movie made me like the portrayal. From the way the story was told from Victor's point of view and acting like the victim to the monsters side of things. This was a very good movie and worth watching. Would have made my best of 2025 list for sure.
The Vince Staples Show Season 2 (9/10)
I love this weird ass show. Just like the first season its hard to even really describe what it is about. This season felt more cohesive than the first one where things just sort of happened around Vince and he reacted. This had a story that carried throughout the entire show in some way. I did miss seeing his relationship with his girl because I liked their dynamic. This seemed to have a bigger budget and more outlandish shit happened. Great show which is why it has now been canceled because this was not even kind of advertised well. Would love to see what he would do in terms of making a film. Have a feeling it would be good as hell.
Fallout Season 2 (4/10)
Not nearly as interesting as the first season. The flashbacks were too many. I have gotten used to series doing flashbacks in really good ways (Paradise) but this show could have had one full episode of flashbacks and covered a lot of stuff. Instead if someone was hurt or knocked out we went back in time to pretty much show what I already knew or figured. Its not like someone I thought was good was evil or vice versa. Some episodes featuring one character bored me. I have to also admit that the ads on Amazon really fuck up the pace of the show and as soon as one started I kind of forgot what I was watching. If there is another season I wont be watching it. I'm good.
