Best Of 2025
This series was far better than I expected it to be. I wasn't even super excited about it but after the first episode I knew that this was gonna be insane. Didn't think it would make me care so much about the characters. Superb acting by the kids (which is something that tends to bug me). I was mentioning to my lady how you couldn't make a present day anything with modern day children cause they are wack and would just be on their phones the whole time. Chris Chalk as Dick was some of the best acting in any TV or cinema. I have watched so many reactions of people seeing this series and we are all in agreement that its the best.
Only Murder In The Building Season 5
I was talking a lot of smack before this came out thinking that there was no way that this could continue to be as good as previous seasons. They were gonna run out of ways to make the premise stay good. I was wrong. This season had me in a damned chokehold. Anxiously waiting for the next one even though its supposed to be in London. Hell, the last one was supposed to be in LA and they were there for a piece of an episode. I wish more people watched this just to have more folks to ramble at.
This was a live show I saw with my lady and best friend at A Noise Within. This was one of the best love shows I've ever had the chance to see and wish it could have been recorded because I would for sure be watching this every few weeks. Just an amazing cast.
Why in the hell was this so good? I'm not a Kpop fan. I am not a fan of much of the new animated movies that come out. But for some reason this random ass movie made me so happy. I liked that I didn't have to know years worth of anime or manga lore and they explained everything simply. The music was awesome and the style of animation didn't bother my old ass eyes.
Had no idea what this movie was about other than these kids ended up missing from this one teachers classroom. Man. This movie was freaky as hell but managed to insert real humor at certain parts right when it needed it. Gladys turned into a horror movie icon immediately with people even dressing as her for Halloween. The ending of this was so satisfying.
I am still not spoiling this. The next season comes out next year and me and my lady saw props from it during a studio tour which geeked us out. This show had a bad trailer which after watching made me appreciate it because this show could be spoiled with one sentence. Well, not the entire season ruined but the premise and not knowing what the hell is going on is better. Please watch this show!
Harry Potter And The Cursed Child
I am not even a massive Potter fan like my lady is but I have seen the movies and know some of the characters. The effects that they used in this had me baffled. I felt like those people when films were first being made using special effects. This is witchcraft! One of the top three most fun I have had watching a live stage show. This being as good as it was helped lend to the bad reaction we had to one of the worst shows we also saw this year.
This movie had no right to be as cool as it was. I like Superman animated but in film I tend to find him dull. This version made me happy to see Superman instead of like in most films he seems like this powerful statue that shows up, beats something up or lifts something heavy and flies away. This version was the first time I saw him and felt something like hope.
Best movie of the year. Everything about it was great. Have listened to music from it multiple times. Saw it in theaters a few times. Watched it streaming a few times. Have the blu-ray. My lady saw it more than me and has physical records of the soundtrack. We mad we couldn't see it this past week when they brought it back. This is one of those movies that will years from now still be talked and and used as a comparison to other movies. If you didn't love this movie you're just wrong and that's fine. Live in that.
My lady made fun of me for saying “No spoilers!” when watching a show about a story from the bible. I only knew that David hit Goliath with a rock in the head and killed him. I have zero knowledge about his life before or after that even so everything this show contained was new to me. There is a second season but its on some Jesus-y app and they need to just release it on streaming for free.
Worst Of 2025
This show got progressively worse as it went on. So much time wasted in every season but this third one managed to drag out every single thing that should have been pushing through got stopped so we could watch characters not progress, some regress, and others sing in a bar while women rubbed their titties. This was so incredibly disappointing to watch and when it was canceled I was okay and endorsed it. Not sure how long they thought they could get away with wasting my time the way the did.
This show was butt booty ass. Complete waste of time that attempted to light a fire under its own ass in the very last episode. It was not enough to keep me interested in what may happen in future seasons whatsoever. The worst thing I can say about any form of entertainment is “This didn't need to exist.” That is how I feel about this show.
My lady fought tooth and nail to get tickets to this. Braved rainy LA streets. A theater that was about 95 degrees. Going down eight levels of parking. All this just to sit in a theater and be bored. We were excited to find out the same effects guy worked on that Potter live show. Not sure why he needed to because there were barely any effects. There was less of a story than effects in this long ass show. If this was 40 minutes it would have been fine. Felt like being stuck in the home of people you don't like.
This is one of the worst movies that has ever been committed to film. No one should have been involved with this and it should have never been released to the public. The fact that this is taking up space on the internets is a disgrace. This isn't bad but funny. Its embarrassing.
Captain America Brave New World
I am so pissed that this was bad. This had the chance to be good and establish Falcon as Captain America but it removed all of the good grace started by the series. This was so bad (combined with all the missteps the MCU has made in recent years) that they are bringing people back from the damn dead to build up good faith with Marvel fans. I'll be passing.
