24k Christmas DNF/10
This movie was ass and me and my lady stopped about halfway through and didn't even bother finishing it. This lady makes jewelry and gets set up on a blind date. She belittles the guy with her clumsy ass and leaves him. He comes to her jewelry shop to pick up the rings for his friends wedding but she lost them because clumsy. Who gets married on Christmas Eve anyway? That is so inconsiderate to guests! They go searching for the rings and can't find them. We gave up because the lady was horrible which is a thing that these Christmas movies do now. They make women pretty (questionable) but with a shitty attitude for whatever reason but the guy still chases them down and they end up together. The end.
The Christmas Campaign 1/10
We finished this one but it was a mega stinker. This lady Kayleigh does work. A new guy is brought in named Darren. She doesn't like him because they both have clashing personalities so of course they're gonna get together. The movie is her being a dick to this guy and a not interesting person whatsoever while being told what a great employee she is. Oh, I forgot to mention that Kayleigh had a boyfriend who dumped her because she too busy and tries to come back a few times. She and Darren fall for each other after he stands up to her parents for her. She just kisses him out of the blue. Sexual misconduct! So Darren sees her with her ex and thinks they are back together and gets mad and quits his job but she gets a promotion and catches him leaving and they kiss and he comes back to work.
When I say this lady was unlikable I mean it. She would be the bully/enemy in any other type of movie. Just pretty and that is literally it. Not funny. Not fun. No good conversations. Its easy to see why her man left her. These holiday movies are making this their new template and they need to stop. It doesn't make watching these movies good. I just watch wondering why someone likes this person other than being physically attracted to them. Its not fun its not cute. It stinks.
