Christmas In The Clouds 6/10
Still on the holiday train with my lady and I am starting to pick up this theme of where I don't like the main character and think they don't deserve a happy ending. This is about Ella Neezer (get it?!?!) who is a CEO that no one likes. The people that work for her are being forced to work on Christmas because she didn't like their presentation while she hops on a plane to Australia with her assistant Bobbi who has a son who has movie asthma. Movie asthma is that kinda asthma where the kid can just cough and die at any moment. As she gets on the plane she ends up sitting across the aisle from her former fiancé, Jake. Awkwaaaaaaard.
As she falls asleep she is awoken by the ghost of Christmas past presenting as a flight attendant that shows her how the relationship with Jake begin and ended because she was following in her boss' footsteps and learning to be an asshole. Oh, this same boss popped up on her screen miserable and warning Ella about what she could end up like. Next is the present ghost who shows her how much shit her employees talk about her. She doesn't like or believe she is as bad as they think. She is. Next the future ghost who shows her dead, Bobbi's son is dead, her business is failed, and no one gives a damn. She ends up waking up feeling terrible about her life choices and gets back with Jake, sends Bobbi to be with her son, and goes to spend Christmas with her sister. I mean, this wasn't terrible by any means. Perhaps she just played unlikable too well.
