The Review: Invincible

Invincible Meh/10

I didn't really feel any sort of way while watching the first three episodes of the new animated series Invincible. It wasn't terrible or anything. It wasn't even boring. I just didn't feel any attachment to a single character which was weird since there are so many of them. This is about a kid named Mark whose father is a superhero named Omni-Man. His mother is normal and it is expected that soon Mark will get powers. He does and his father tries to train him even though Mark is impatient and wants to be great immediately. He has a friend at school, a girl he likes, there is a bully. Its all very basic. They are building up to something big and dark later but I'll just wait a few months till all the episodes air before I jump back into this. The art and voice acting are fine. Not a fan of the music choices. Its super violent and I have no idea why anyone would think the heroes are awesome considering how many people were slaughtered in each episode. Check it out if you want. They released the first three episodes the other day on Amazon.

Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson/Invincible

Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson

J. K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man
