The Review: One Fine Christmas/A Christmas Fumble

One Fine Christmas 1/10

L. and I decided to watch some holiday movies and these two were terrible. The first was One Fine Christmas. It was about this girl who comes home from college and her mother is super busy with work and just runs around like a crazy person. Seriously, it's like I don't know why but she's constantly tweaking. The daughter has zero personality in this movie. Normally these kind of films where they have a young person they have them be precocious or there's something quirky about them or interesting but in this film the daughter is literally just a daughter. The grandmother no longer lives with her mom because they just don't get along anymore since the tweaky mother's husband left her.

They have a bunch of different neighbors that they focus on where one of them is a husband who overworks and then gets laid off and has absolutely no idea what his wife does with her day. Another is a family where the son comes back home from the military and he has a pregnant brand new Japanese wife and he told his parents about none of this. His mother gets real racist real fast. The other person involved if I'm not leaving anybody out is an old lady who lost her husband and son to a car accident and she bakes a lot of cookies for everybody. This movie was just a whack ass movie. One thing I thought was really weird was the fact that the daughter is played by Vanessa L. Williams and Rick Fox's kid and the lady that Rick Fox is going after in this movie is Vanessa Williams who sued Vanessa L. Williams for the use of the name. I still can't get over that nonsense. This movie is not worth checking out and not really worth watching. A lot of these black Christmas movies I like to watch because they can be so bad that they're funny but this one was just flavorless.

A Christmas Fumble 0/10

The other movie that we watched was called
A Christmas Fumble. This movie put L. to sleep. It's about a lady who works at the agency where she pretty much gets rich people out of trouble by having them do a lot of PR stunts and such. There's a football player who is a part of a scandal where they said he was paid during college. They used to date and his new fiance is pretty much painted as someone who just wants to be famous just to be famous. There is no point in this movie that shows why he would want to date her. So the PR woman has a boyfriend and he doesn't pay any attention to her whatsoever. Fast forward (we know how this goes because she's going to end up back with her ex-boyfriend) and she took the fall for the college money because he used it to help her get through school. This movie stunk so bad. It was a complete waste of time and I'm really not quite sure who would watch this and actually enjoy it.
