The Review: Bebe Winans We Three Kings

Bebe Winans We Three Kings 8/10

Yay a good holiday movie! Last night L and I watched this movie We Three Kings. Its the story of three sisters fighting for unclear reasons. This father named Lincoln King hides some clues for his young daughters Lydia, Grace, and Abigail, to find and solve on Christmas. He leaves a north star necklace for his wife. Next thing you know all the girls are adults and the mother is dead and the sisters have been avoiding each other. Gracie is a doctor and unlikable. Abigail plays piano in another state. Lydia has a candle shop and is annoying.

One day while leaving work Lincoln falls in the snow and is almost hit by a car. At the hospital Gracie starts trying to boss everyone around and blames the guy who brought her father to the hospital for the accident. She also doesn't trust him because he is a lawyer but he turns out to be the world's perfect man. She soured us on this movie and it would have gotten another point for me if not for her. Lydia likes to take happy photos for social media but she and her husband are struggling to have children and not talking to her sisters is taking a toll on her. Gracie plays piano but isn't sure she loves music as much as her father does. She meets a musician who comes to help at her fathers shop and they like each other until he finds out that she can actually play music when she keeps quiet about it. Nothing dramatic.

One night everyone is invited to dinner at Lincoln's house. He plays the clue game again and the sisters start fighting. The perfect man hears all this fussing and finds out that Gracie is kinda seeing someone while hollering at him and bounces. Lydia's husband hears her tear him down and is like “Maybe you need someone more glamorous.” I liked his reaction. No screaming or saying they need to pray about it. Turns out none of the sisters stole the necklace. Lincoln had it the whole time and waited till they were all together to give them the necklace which is now in three pieces. Happy for all! Even the angry sister gets her man. Don't know why but she does. This movie had music that didn't stink. A story that was pretty easy to follow. Seriously, other than the sister this was a pretty enjoyable movie.
