The Review: Ozark Season 4 Part 1

Ozark Season 4 Part One 10/10

Let me start off by saying that I am amazed that a show can be on for this many seasons and not have any episodes that feel like filler or a waste. They have split this season into two seven parts and I am glad they did because my poor heart could not take anymore intensity than I witnessed and felt while watching just these episodes. I watched the first episode with Cam and sat on the rest because I knew more were not coming. I'm not into binge watching so much anymore particularly with certain shows. This is not the kind of show you can just blow through quickly and absorb all the information. Plus I don't wanna be one of those people that start crying for more after I have gobbled up what these folk have worked so hard on doing and get mad when I'm not served another helping immediately.

The Review: Ozark Season 3 Episodes 9/10 (Finale)

Ozark Season Three 11/10

Episode 9 “Fire Pink”

This damn show. I swear. I watched the last two episodes with CK and thankfully we were able to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender afterward because even though it was bright and sunny today this show was shaking the hell out of us. Ben is in a taxi rambling his ass off. It turns out this is a flashback as he heads to Helen's place. It is minutes of him going on an emotional roller coaster. He ruined Helen's life by telling her daughter what she does for a living. Helen heads over to talk to Wendy knowing that Ben was released but Wendy doesn't know what Ben has done just yet. Marty calls and lets Wendy know and she stands there with Helen in her face trying her best to pretend she don't know. We kept on calling Helen a viper because that is what she legit is.

The Review: Ozark Season 3 Episodes 7/8

Episode 7 “In Case of Emergency”

This episode was pure intensity on every level. If there was an episode that was an example of airing out grievances this was it. I say that now and the next episode is gonna end up being crazy as hell. It starts off with Ruth accompanied by Helen being interrogated after the shootings and the truck exploding. Agents Maya and Trevor (he is the asshole one that had a relationship with the agent that was murdered last season) are running this and Trevor tries to goad Ruth into exploding. As they leave Ben picks her up and says they should just run out of town. She tries to explain to him that isn't possible and says Ben is acting strange. He figures that his sister Wendy told him about his medication and how he stopped taking it. I am waiting for him to snap again.

The Review: Ozark Season 3 Episodes 5/6

Episode 5 “It Came From Michoacán”

Another episode another hour of me gasping and being in shock. Sometimes in shock because I am grossed out. I'll get to that soon enough and if you have seen the episode you can probably guess why. So Marty is back at home and everything is back to normal and that is creepy. Marty just got back from being tortured and Wendy wakes to him making breakfast for the family and telling the kids about what happened to him like it was a trip to the store. Wendy is worried about him but he is like “Ah, we got things to take care of. Don't worry about me. I am fine.” Crazy ass. He tells her that when he was faced with death he did not do what he thought he would. Likely meaning pee and cry. Wendy gets a call from Navarro and asks what happened and Navarro says he now knows who Marty is and he is just like him and wants to win. Huh. That sounds bad.

The Review: Ozark Season 3 Episodes 3/4

Episode 3 “Kevin Cronin Was Here”

This season is too damn much for me. I got myself to watch two episodes back to back so this is gonna cover both. It starts off with Wendy busting a cap in Marty in the middle of the road. I wasn't even shocked with the way they've been acting lately. It turns out to be a dream. Wendy decides to close down the casino she got to launder money and it ends up fucking over Marty and Ruth because he was planning to launder money there himself. The older Cosgrove heads over to talk to Marty but he is not there and he lets slip that Marty had them set up that fireworks explosion on the boat. Helen suspects that Marty is working against her and Wendy and says that the cartel dude Navarro does not want the new casino used for money laundering. Great.

The Review: Ozark Season 3 Episode 2

Episode 2 “Civil Union”

Oh my god this fucking show! I am just two episodes in and it is too much for me to deal with! I just finished watching episode two of this third season of Ozark and I have to talk about how great it is. Every single moment matters. You can not have this on and do other things. I couldn't even iron and watch this. I sat here and either had my hands on my head or covering my mouth multiple times. The episode starts off with this substitute teacher being ignored by his class until one of the girls screams when she sees an image sent to her phone. The teacher confronts the class before taking all their phones and throwing them into a wood chipper outside and fighting the city worker. I was like “Who is this man?” Then I found out later and said “Oh, no...”

The Review: Ozark Season 3 Episode 1

Episode 1 “Wartime”

My god this show. I started watching season three of Ozark on Netflix today and I am gonna review it episode by episode. I loved the first and second seasons and I don't know how folks are able to binge a show this damn intense without having stupid dreams or retaining all the information. I can do it with some shows but this sure ain't one of 'em. I am gonna be bouncing all over the place with this by the way since there are a lot of characters and everyone is actually important. Down in Mexico this delivery dude looks to be dropping off a package and the next thing you know he stabs the cashier in the hand and slits his throat. He then head sot the back burning money and blows these two dudes up. As money is flying around outside he sets another bomb off in the crowd. This show is wasting zero time getting intense.

The Review: Ozark Season 2

Ozark Season Two 10/10

My body was not ready for this! This will have some spoilers. This season had some many twists and turns and surprises that I wish I had done a recap of every single episode to have been more thorough. The first season of Ozark was amazing and the second did not disappoint. What I love most about this show is that no one feels safe not even the main characters. If you watched how the last season ended then you know that just when things feel like they are falling into place and there can be a moment of peace so crazy shit is about to take place. As nutty as the first season was now that everyone is established I knew they were gonna have to up the ante for this one to even come close to the first. They did. I've never yelled at my TV so much while watching a show.

The Review: Ozark

Ozark 10/10

There will be spoilers. Babies. I know I am late writing this review but I finished the Netflix series Ozark a while back after taking time off to watch other shows. This series was pretty damned incredible. Again, Netflix has a knack for shitty posters that make me not want to watch their shows and friends and family have to get me to check them out. Cam suggested this one and I was hooked. I am not kidding. There is a scene in the first episode that is so intense I could have crushed coal into diamonds with my asshole. After that I knew that I was in and going to finish this show.
