Dante Watches Willie Dynamite

Willie Dynamite 6/10

This movie was better than it should've been. This angry ass pimp wants to run the city and doesn't wanna be part of the pimp union that is being formed. This movie had everything. Lamb skin suits. Knife fights. Mental abuse. And is that ALF, the alien life form? No. It's just a terrible wig the bottom girl is wearing. This was close to being a 7/10.

Diana Sands as Cora

Thalmus Rasulala as Daniels

Joyce Walker as Pashen

Dante Watches Black Fist

 Black Fist 1/10

I was so bummed out that this movie sucked. I was hoping that this would be about this Black dude just whipping all the asses. Instead it was a guy that barely won every fight he was in. I didn't know who the hell his wife actually was or if he had some extra girls on the side. This was just awful. I still talked a lot of trash.

Dante Watches Heatwave! (1974)

Heatwave 5/10

I just finished watching this crazy ass movie called Heatwave. It came out in 1974. It is about a couple who are suffering through a city wide (world maybe?) heatwave that is kicking all their asses so they decide to head to a cabin to cool off and the madcap adventures begin! This is longer than my other commentaries because I could not stop talking shit about the husband in this.

Dante Watches Get Christie Love!

Get Christie Love! 3/10

I watched this thinking it was a movie when it was actually the pilot episode that took place over a few nights. That explains the weird transitions. This movie was a lot of nonsense. Again, I talk over the movie in Black Stereo and just posted some of the parts in this video.

The Review: TNT Jackson

TNT Jackson 8/10

The other day I watched this crazy ass movie called TNT Jackson after Miss Jackie suggested it. This is the story of a woman looking to get revenge against someone who murdered her brother...in Japan. I decided to do a commentary while watching this and cut it down to just about twelve minutes. Y'all don't wanna hear me talk straight through this because I talk so much shit.

The Review: The Arena (1974)

The Arena 6/10

Dude, this movie was fucking bananas. I just watched a Pam Grier movie so Amazon added this as a suggestion and as soon as I looked up the poster I knew I had to watch it. By the way, I need to point out that Grier had to be the most attractive woman to ever be seen at this point in cinema. Yeah, there were a lot of pretty ladies but none of them had the boom boom pow that Grier had. Fight me if you wanna be proven wrong. The Arena was made in 1974 and is about a bunch of women that were captured and brought to Rome as slaves. I am not gonna use their character names so I am gonna go based off of physical features and such. The blonde chick was stolen from a place that looked like something out of Midsommar. They slaughtered everyone in sight and brought her. The black chick was dancing to drums when all the men were killed and they got her. The other two don't really matter but there is the redhead with curly hair and the asshole. So they get brought to Rome and they all speak the same language and all get doused with water outside as a bath. They needed to show some naked ass women and they knew exactly how to do it. Oh, wait. There is some other woman. She was ditsy or something. Whatever.

The Review: Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 7/10

Today I got to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre with B&H during a double feature of horror films aka Dante Talks For An Hour And A Half. This movie was not as violent or bloody as I was expecting. Hell, only one person got chopped with a chainsaw and he deserved it. I have seen versions of this series of movies but never the original so this was all new to me even though it came out half a decade before I was born. This group of losers is heading to this small town to see if the grave of a couple of 'ems grandfather got dug up because some nut is digging up graves and taking body parts. This is an old horror movie so you actually want people someone to survive whereas in the horror movies of today they make every an asshole and you just wanna see how creatively they can be killed.

The Review: Blazing Saddles

Blazing Saddles 8/10

Blazing Saddles is one of those movies where I have heard a lot of gags and seen some of them in other films or referenced but never sat down and watch the actual film itself. I finally did and am glad I did because this movie had me laughing my ass off. It stars Cleavon Little as a prisoner named Bart that is made the sheriff of a small town. Why? Because they figured that as soon as he arrived that he would be killed and then they could then plow right through the town with their train tracks. I laughed my ass off when he arrived and as the town all whipped guns out on him he took himself hostage and went into the sheriff's station. He finds the Waco Kid played by Gene Wilder in his cell hanging by his ankles form the top bunk drunk.

The Review: Death Wish (1974)

I have never been a huge fan of Charles Bronson. Not for any reason other than the fact that I have not seen too many of his movies. I've seen maybe five of them out of the dozens and dozens he has made. Today I decided to watch Death Wish. This was made in 1974 which makes for fun scenes like a cop having to run for blocks to find a pay phone that works. This movie also had a young Denzel Washington and Jeff Goldblum.

Bronson stars as Paul Kersey. He is a normal guy with a nice normal family until one day his wife is followed home by Goldblum and his friends who attack and rape(?) his wife and daughter. The wife is beaten up and I know if this was made today it'd be way more brutal. Kersey and his son-in-law arrive at the hospital and he finds out that his wife died and his daughter is mentally fucked because of what happened. After a trip for work he is given a gun as a gift and as soon as he gets back home his kill switch is engaged.

Babbling Old Man: Boss Ni**er

Sometimes known as The Boss, Boss, or the movie I add asterisks to, Boss Ni**er is a Blacksploitation written, produced, and starring former NFL player Fred Williamson as Boss Ni**er. His partner is Amos played by D'Urville Martin who directed Dolemite. This movie had no right to be as good as it was. I was expecting to laugh my ass off at how bad it was, but it is really a well made and directed movie.

The director Jack Arnold has directed classic movies like Creature From The Black Lagoon, and The Incredible Shrinking Man as well as the TV shows The Fall Guy, The Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island, and Wonder Woman. This makes a huge difference. I know there are far more popular Westerns like anything with Clint Eastwood or even the classic Django. But this blew that movie out of the water. Even the fact that n-bombs are dropped constantly and the music is straight up funk, it is still good.
