You Had One Job: Netflix Cancels Iron Fist/Luke Cage

This is not a race issue. It's a garbage ass series issue. It is being reported that both Iron Fist and Luke Cage have been canceled from Netflix and I am totally fine with that. Hell, they can toss in Jessica Jones in there if they want and I wouldn't mind. I thoroughly enjoyed the first season of Luke Cage and was very excited when I heard a second was being made...until I watched it. That second season was nothing like the first. The acting dropped. The music felt forced. It ended in such a way that it felt as if they did not even want a third season to happen. Hell, with the way he was acting The Defenders was pretty much dead in the water. There are some things you can not come back from even as a hero.

As for Iron Fist the only people that seem to be upset bring up the issue of a Asian driven show...that is not. That entire season was a shitty joke that should not have happened and they had the nerve to make a second. Look through this blog and you will not see a single review of it because I watched the first twenty minutes of the first episode and asked myself “Why am I even doing this?”

Marvel and Netflix released a statement saying "Unfortunately, Marvel's Luke Cage will not return for a third season. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem's Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series." Creative differences is the reason being given as well as the writers room being put on hold and having ten episodes instead of thirteen. That is one of the best ideas and they should have accepted it. I know, I know. More episodes more money. In reality more episodes means more time to waste and these shows sure as hell did it.

I am currently watching Daredevil season three and enjoying it but out of the ten seasons of Marvel series put out by Netflix four of them have been good. Daredevil season one, Luke Cage season one, Jessica Jones season one, and Punisher season one. That is not a good track record! This needs to be a wake up call for all these streaming shows. You can not just continue to put out shit and feel comfortable thinking that another season is going to happen.
