My Song Of The Week: Morning Mix
Over the last few mornings I have been working on songs as soon as I woke up. I heard on some podcast a while back about how the brain functions differently after waking up. It's true. I come up with weirder ideas when I wake up. Ask me why I'm single. I decided to do some remixes of Michael Jackson, The Bangles, Gwen Stefani, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, The Ting Tings and a few more. Hope you like some of them. I aso make music for headphones. My Song Of The Week: Tender Loving Care
I was out of the house for a few hours and had to make up for it with something so I did a remix of Michael Jackson's song PYT. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: Big As A Whale
Last week I was feeling weird and decided to do a song that has The B-52's, Gotye, Katy Perry, and The Darkness in it. I like the way this came out. Its very loud. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: That's What You Get
A few days ago I decided to try making a dance song. Some long ass song where the beat is loud and changes up. Then I found a clip from a song that fit and ended up adding a few more. I ended up adding The Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, and Bon Jovi. Its weird but I like it. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: Skin Tight Jeans
Tonight I did a remix of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream titled Skin Tight Jeans. I'm not a huge fan of her but I'll be damned if she doesn't stay on tempo perfectly. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: The Mixes
Here
is a set of some of the remixes that I have done over the last few
weeks. I've done some other songs that I'll load soon. This contains
Set My Soul On Fire which is a Muse remix, No Can Do which is a Hall
& Oates remix, a Game of Thrones remix called The Throne, and I
Just Wanted To Hold which is another Muse one. Click here for
previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: The Pop
I made a album of remixes of classic songs titled The Pop. There is Party Line (Pink), Sit Back And Wait (Barenaked Ladies), Better Run (Foster The People), People Keep Talking (Alicia Keys), The Simple Life (Van Halen), The Last Time (Boston), Be There When You Wake (Blind Melon), Will She Stand Alone (Stone Temple Pilots), Falling (Phoenix), Life Taker (Weezer), and Movie Yourself (Yes). Click here for previous My Song Of The Week. For whatever reason when loaded as a playlist they get jumbled up Into alphabetical order.

My Song Of The Week: Time To Be Gone
Last week I did a remix of Led Zeppelin's song Ramble On titled Time To Be Gone. This was far more difficult than I'd anticipated to remix. Trying to find a beat that stuck, removing seconds of audio to match it up. It was a mess but I like how it turned out. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: Good For Me
I know it has been a while since I posted a song or remix I've done but its not because I haven't been doing any. I have done a lot of songs since my last post but just don't post them here much anymore. I need to fix that. I did a remix of Marvin Gaye's song Sexual Healing titled Good For Me. I was adding and taking away so many beats and ended up stripping it down. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: The Codger
Over
the last couple of weeks besides making my own songs up I have been
doing some remixes of classic and somewhat older songs as well and
called it The Codger. Here is what happened. See The Light (Child In
Time by Deep Purple), Don't You Worry (Float On by Modest Mouse), Let
It All Out (Shout by Tears For Fears), I'm So Glad (The Sign by Ace
Of Bass), It Was Only A Kiss (Mr. Brightside by The Killers), Love Is
A Feeling (Give In To Me by Michael Jackson), Jimmy's Town (Dr.
Feelgood by Motley Crue), and This Won't Hurt A Bit (Twisted
Transistor by Korn). Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: Shine
I did this remix of Rihanna's song Diamonds and called it Shine. This was a fun one to play around with and helps me continue doing remixes of artists I don't like all that much. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: Given Hell
I did this remix of All American Rejects song Gives You Hell. This is one of those songs that even if you don't know it you know it. I really like the way this came out and have listened to it about eight times already. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: Trouble
Almost as a dare on myself I did a remix of the Taylor Swift song I Knew You Were Trouble. Its at 75 bpm with some 150 thrown in. The beat is from a previous song I did called The Setup. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: Punch Drunk In Love
I know it has been a hot minute since I did one of these but even though I have not been posting music on here I have been making songs like crazy. Over 20 of them since my last My Song Of The Week. Not even sure why I have been such a lazy ass about it. I wanted to make a song with acoustic guitars and it ended up turning into this remix of Drunk In Love featuring Beyonce and Jay-Z and became Punch Drunk In Love. Hope you like it. This, like most of what I make, is meant to be listened to with headphones on. Click here for previous episodes.
(bonus
song) Dreamt
This
song was done because of a podcast I listened to with Steven Kotler.
He spoke of doing creative things as soon as you woke up so I gave it
a try with a beat instead of writing like I normally would.

My Song Of The Week: Jump Back
I did this song Jump Back over two shifts at work. It went through so many changes before I settled on the right level of drums and trying to figure out when to drop things, take others out because they were off by half a second, and editing the track to match with what I was doing. I used the song Panama by Van Halen which is one of my favorites from them. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: Tell Me When To Jive
So on my lunch break at work I started working on a beat at 106 bpm which is odd as hell for me and something I'd not done before. I wondered what songs had the same bpm and found The Bee Gees song Jive Talkin' and E40 Tell Me When To Go so I did those two to this. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

My Song Of The Week: Checking Your Temperature
For my song of the week I decided to do another remix of a Katy Perry song. I took Hot N Cold and made Checking Your Temperature using an acapella version and beats at 132 bpm.

My Song Of The Week: Eater Of Men
Another
week another song. I actually made this beat last year for a song
titled Manchester in honor of the street I grew up on. I love Hall &
Oates (click here to see a Perler bead version I made for my best
friend) and will be seeing them in concert soon. So when I was
looking for audio and found their song Maneater I had to use it. I
altered the beats per minute from 89 to 90 and found the right spot
to place it.
