Demand It!: I Know That Voice

I Know That Voice

I watched this documentary called I Know That Voice on Amazon a couple of days ago. This had been floating in the back of my head ever since Andrew Kishino (himself a very accomplished voice over artist) had mentioned it a while back. I'm so glad that I watched this because it taught me a lot about voice over work as well as pointed out that it's not as easy as just being able to do an impression of a character for your friends and family.

They of course cover the history of voices in animation including the king himself, Mel Blanc. It is incredible how many voices he was able to do like Bugs Bunny, Wile E. Coyote (my favorite cartoon character of all time), Porky Pig, and Daffy Duck just to name very few. Mark Hamill who is best known as the voice of the Joker from multiple animated Batman films is interviewed as well as those who have followed him.

Worldwide Vapors Video (Dan-e-o, Big Kish, Maestro Fresh Wes)

A few days ago I was telling someone that when I play music on my Ross Radio Show that chances are slim that you'll hear anything past the year 2000, particularly rap music. The only hip-hop that has made me proud to be a fan of it the past few years has come from Toronto, Canada. This week Dan-e-o, Big Kish, and Maestro Fresh Wes released a video for their latest song Worldwide Vapors. This song is fucking incredible and you should all check it out. I need to find out who this chick with the piercings in this video is...

Perfeck Strangers "Series Premiere" Album Review

In a world where I continually bitch about the fact that there is no good music coming out, I’m always happy when Canada decides to put out music. Yeah, I know. Canada. That place up North that until a few years ago meant little to me except beer, hockey, and snow. Turns out they know a thing or four about hip-hop.

My first exposure to hip-hop there was Dan-e-o. When I started listening to Tha O Show and hearing him freestyle I was like “This dude is good. He should put out an album.” Turns out I was later than that girl’s period you took to the prom. He, as part of Monolith, had been putting out music for a while. Fast forward to me being better informed and listening to guys like Big Kish and Botany Hill I figured that I was good for a while.

Sell Yourself: Andrew Kishino & On Blast Designs

Today I got to meet up with the one and only Andrew “Kish” Kishino. I have heard some of his music, loved it, and met him through one of the best MC’s Dan-e-o a couple years ago. Kishino has a new t-shirt that says so much with so little.

Yeah, you know you want it! Just contact him by clicking this link RIGHT HERE and order one. Its 100% cotton and made in Los Angeles. They come in sizes Small through Extra Large and are produced by On Blast Designs. Check out and follow Kish on Twitter, Facebook, and of course Youtube. Or you can check IMDB for the realist cat I know.

Andrew Kishino has been featured in video games (GI Joe: The Rise Of Cobra, Kung Fu Panda, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, Mortal Kombat). Cartoons (The LeBrons, GI Joe: Renegades, The Spectacular Spiderman). Announcing and narrating (America’s Got Talent, Best Damn Sports Show Period, E! True Hollywood Story). If you have a TV or play video games you’ve heard him and probably didn’t know. Until now. He’s friggin’ Storm Shadow!
