I gave season one of Who Killed Sara? a MESSY/10 but if I had to give it a number score it would've been an 8/10. This one deserves a 1/10 in the most retroactive of ways. It is so rare that an entire season that is not bad but confusing as hell (much like the first one at times) can in the last thirty seconds ruin the previous two seasons as well as make me uninterested in the next one they threaten us with. I am legitimately having trouble trying to even explain everything that happened because they got super liberal with the use of flashbacks.
We find out that Sara was covered in mental disorders. She did drugs. She sold drugs. She was an asshole. She was a thief. She was a liar. She attacked her mother. She attacked her bestfriend. She met her real father who turned out to be the same father of Marifer aka Diana the Hunter. He is also the body that was found in the back yard of Alex and Cesar killed him to protect Sara. We also don't find out who killed her. I think. They show Marifer cut the rope after teasing the shit for two whole seasons only for Nicandro to introduce some secret experiment shit that Sara went through. She got super powers or some shit? I don't care.
Chema and Lorenzo split after he finds Chema butt booty ass naked in bed with Clara. Clara is Marifer's sister and the plan is to get Chema's baby and hold it over Mariana and for her to admit her family killed their mother who was their help. It turns out their father did it. She Clara's ex shows up to collect money and Chema stabs him, they hide his body with Alex's help, construction is gonna happen there so they have to grab the body again. Lorenzo ends up getting killed by the ex's brother and Clara gets shot after Marifer finds out the truth about her mothers death and Mariana shows up after a plan goes wrong and Marifer loses her shit and eventually dies in a fire.
You know what? Not gonna waste my time. This season didn't make sense and this review isn't. I thought maybe if I wrote it episode by episode it would but even then it wouldn't because of the flashbacks and new reveals happening. Cesar pretends to die, Elisa gets kidnapped and tortured and saved, Rodolfo's wife who is pregnant by Cesar escapes after giving birth, Mariana loses her mind after realizing that now both Lazcano babies she could've had are gone, Rodolfo wasn't super relevant, Alex makes great plans that never work, Elisa left for Spain, came back, and was immediately kidnapped, Nicandro comes back and is shady as fuck. It was too much dumb shit happening all at once and when season three comes out I will just read quick recaps online. I'm not letting this show make up dumb shit just to keep going when this should've been its last season.
I don't even care who killed Sara at this point. In the first season I felt bad for this young girl who was killed by someone and by the end of this I said out loud “Sara was a menace to society!” She really was! She was just as dangerous as anyone else on this show and as an adult would've started collecting bodies. Alex it turns out was ignorant to everything in his life before going to prison for eighteen years. If he decided to become a crime fighter he would be amazing because he comes up with amazing plans but they never go right in the end. So yeah. If you liked season one you'll likely enjoy this one until the last scene of the last episode where they make you feel like fucking clown shoes.
