The Review: Life

Life 3/10

In space everyone screams like a bitch. I just watched the movie Life and like with most films about space it seems to have a lot of smart people making bad decisions to move the story along. I have listened to interviews with astronauts and just to get the chance to get on a ship requires a ton of smarts and work. You can't just be like “I wanna go to the spaces!” and they slap a suit on your and next thing you know you're propelling yourself in zero gravity with the power of pee thrust. This movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, Ryan Reynolds, Hiroyuki Sanada, Ariyon Bakare, and Olga Dihovichnaya. If only you could see how much red was in my spell check right now.

The Review: Okja

Okja 10/10

There will be a lot of spoilers in this. I need to stop saying that and just say don't read movies reviews until after you've watched shit if you are worried about it being ruined. I gave it a 10/10. Watch it. I loved this fucking movie! Okay, I had no idea what this movie was about before I started watching it. Coworker said she could not watch it because of it making you not want to eat meat anymore to which I responded watching Super Size Me and wanting McDonald's and eating a burger while watching Food Inc. You can't stop me from eating meat. I saw a big pig with a city on its back with a little girl and the title Okja. That was the extent of my knowledge of this movie. I was excited to watch it and not even sure why but I am so glad that I did.

Theater Whore: Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler 5/10

Finally got a chance to check out Nightcrawler starring Jake Gyllenhaal as Lou Bloom. This movie was not what I was expecting not in a good way. It is about a crazy ass guy that after being outed as a thief he discovers that he is interested in racing to crime scenes to film footage and turning it in to news stations for money. Another guy who has been doing it for a while gives him some tips so he gets a police scanner and starts chasing action when it happens.

A news station is happy with the stuff he gets. He hires an assistant named Rick and gets to scenes sometimes just as the police do and even before in some cases. His stuff gets ratings and he is insane so it works out for everyone. His assistant knows that the stuff they do is wrong but Lou talks him out of quitting or stopping each time.
