Inherent
Vice was a really good movie. I would have rated it even higher but
it left a lot of unanswered questions and there wasn't enough of
certain actors and actresses in it. Joaquin Phoenix stars in this and
is very good. I haven't seen a ton of his movies so each time I have
he is playing a very different kind of character. This is one of
those movies that you'll have to watch twice to get everything that
is involved with it.
The
trailer made this look funnier than it is. There are funny parts, but
it isn't as much of a comedy as it appeared. Phoenix plays Doc
Sportello who is a private investigator that is hired by a former
lover to protect her rich, new man. That is all I can tell you
without going into the six or so other plots that all begin there.
This movie had a lot of actors and actresses in it that are really
good, but again, too many things are happening to really appreciate
them and their stories.
