My Song Of The Week: Tiger Driver '87
I did this song Tiger Driver '87 at work today. I wanted to make a song using a mandolin in it because I never have before and I really like the way this came out. Why does it have that title? Not sure. There are two songs this week because I forgot to post one last week. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.
My Song Of The Week: Jump Back
I did this song Jump Back over two shifts at work. It went through so many changes before I settled on the right level of drums and trying to figure out when to drop things, take others out because they were off by half a second, and editing the track to match with what I was doing. I used the song Panama by Van Halen which is one of my favorites from them. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.

Theater Whore: Moonlight
Moonlight
9/10
Last
night Cam called and asked if I wanted to go see a movie. Of course I said yes and asked what she had in mind. She said a movie at the
Arclight called Moonlight. She said I could see what it was about but
I always have fun going in blind with her so I just decided to see it
not knowing what it was about, who was in it, or anything. I am glad
I did because this ended up being an incredible film. There will be
some spoilers but I think in this case and with this movie even if
you know a bit more that you should still check it out where you can.

My Song Of The Week: Usurper
I did this song called Usurper because I wanted a sort of royal hip hop beat. I'll eventually ruin it by rapping over it. I keep staying within the parameters of 100 to 90 bpm because that is what I grew up with. Leave me alone! I like the way this one came out. I made about four songs last week so I'll see if I can keep that pace up this one. Click here to check out previous My Song Of The Week.
Ross Radio Quickie Show 25
Its been a
while since I have made an episode (Miss Jackie reminded me that
people actually like this series) so I decided to play some fun songs
from the late 70's and early 80's like Zapp & Roger Doo Wa Ditty
(Blow That Thing), The S.O.S. Band Just The Way You Like It, Chic
Good Times, Chaka Khan What Cha Gonna Do For Me, Rose Royce Car Wash,
and Peabo Bryson D.C Cab. Click here for previous Ross Radio Quickie
Shows.

The Review: Westworld Pilot
Westworld
Pilot 2/10
Well
that was disappointing. I am fully aware that this was the pilot or
first episode of Westworld on HBO but I was really hoping for the
show to be more interesting than it was. This show is about a place
you can visit that is full of androids that act out a wild west town.
You can go there and tour, bone some robots, wreck shit, or fight for
the law. Some of them start to act weird and the folks behind the
scenes attempt to fix this without the visitors finding out too much
about it because that would be bad for business.

10 Reasons Why You Should Have Watched Luke Cage
For
all the people that keep on saying “The comic book movie/TV show
bubble is gonna burst!” I feel bad for you because shows like Luke
Cage are being made and better than most things on TV. If this was
one of my The Review posts I would give it a 10/10 just so you know
how I feel about this series. People are saying this is the best
series Netflix has done while I would say this is one of the best
pure seasons of a television series.
A fast
version of describing this show (though there is so much more than
this) is that a man is locked away in prison, gets experimented on,
gains the ability of being super strong and bullet proof, and fights
crime when it presents itself. Sounds cheesy as hell but trust me,
its not. Well, it is but this series makes it work. In this 10
Reasons Why You Should Have Watched Luke Cage which will be full of
spoilers I am gonna explain why you should have watched this and
still have the chance unless you're an asshole that thinks superhero
related entertainment is stupid.

My Song Of The Week: Tell Me When To Jive
So on my lunch break at work I started working on a beat at 106 bpm which is odd as hell for me and something I'd not done before. I wondered what songs had the same bpm and found The Bee Gees song Jive Talkin' and E40 Tell Me When To Go so I did those two to this. Click here for previous My Song Of The Week.
