"The Bloody Doors Off"
This episode was full of so much information and gives some backstory to characters we have heard of and ones we thought we knew. I need to mention that this episode jumps back and forth with time so trying to write this in order ain't gonna happen. Frenchie is shown with his old crew eight years ago doing drugs. He is dating a guy and the lady we've met before. He gets caught by Mallory because he is good at stealing and mixing chemicals that are effective even against Supes. She says she will stop him and his friends from going to prison if he helps. He is skeptical but the shit works. She, Mother's Milk, and Butcher blackmail Lamplighter after making fun of his ass. Apparently he looks good in lace. Frenchie is told to tail Lamplighter on the night that he murdered Mallory's children.
Homelander stops a guy that was robbing a bank. Stormfront lands with him and they debate on what to do with him. She slaps the dudes are and breaks it. As they talk Homelander pins the guys face to the wall as he cries for help and Stormfront is rubbing Homelander's crotch. He gets too excited and squashes the guys head. Its gross. Later he plans a nice surprise for Stormfront but she says she has something to do and will be back in twenty minutes. Homelander got her some flowers. Aww.
In present day Frenchie is using a buzzsaw to cut Starlight skin open to remove the chip Vought has put in all their Supes. They get it out and she gets to see where Hughie has been staying while The Boys are on the run. She looks horrified. Kimiko sees her and when you think a fight is about to happen Kimiko runs up and gives her a smile and a hug. Butcher acts extremely nice towards her in the most condescending way. They have a plan to sneak into the facility that Starlight's read in Stormfront's emails. She says a name she saw and Frenchie, Butcher, and Mother's Milk know that it belongs to Lamplighter.
The Deep meets with Maeve and some of his fish friends found a camera from the plane wreckage that Homelander caused when he lasered a terrorist and refused to attempt to save the passengers. Later on Maeve's girlfriend finds the damn thing attached to her phone and watches it. The footage is from a passenger and it shows what they did and how they didn't try to save them. Maeve says she is going to use it to threaten Homelander to leave them alone. Is she fucking stupid? It is the dumbest damn plan. Then she gets baffled wondering why her lady is looking at her the way she is. Deep also sets up a meeting with A-Train and his church. I swear if he gets A-Train on board that shit is gonna be funny.
At the facility Kimiko, Milk, and Frenchie head inside. Lamplighter is working there and the place is full of misfit Supes. The crew manage to get into security and see all the different people inside. In the hallway Frenchie locks eyes with Lamplighter and just when he is about to get toasted they stop. They capture Lamplighter and explain how shit is gonna go. Frenchie reveals the night Mallory's kids died when he was tailing Lamplighter that his friend OD'd and he left to go help. Lamplighter says he thought he was killing Mallory and didn't know that her kids would be there. I am sititng here trying to remember how all hell breaks loose but the Supes get loose. Outside one comes across Hughie, Butcher, and Starlight. He just wants to go home but lets loose a shockwave that knocks them all back and flips over the van with Hughie inside. Butcher shoots and kills the guy. Hughie just seems shaken at first but it turns out his was impaled by something and Starlight can't help because there is no power nearby. They try to take a man's car and the guy whips a gun out at Butcher and Starlight kills him. They get Hughie to a hospital.
Inside the facility Milk gets attacked by a gigantic dick. I am not kidding. This dude with a python like dick tries to strangle him. The look on Milk's face when he realizes what just happened made me crack up. This other Supe who can explode people is there just bursting everyone and everything. Her ass ends up making it to the road. Stormfront returns pissed that she had to kill a bunch of people outside. Not because she hates killing though. Lamplighter ends up talking his way out of it. The group bring him to Mallory and she wants to blow his head off but Frenchie talks her out of it. Homelander upset that Stormfront was late burns his trailer down on set. She gets back and apologizes. He is pissed at her and she seems scared but I know she is playing his ass. She shows him that picture of her and her mom. Its her daughter. She is over a hundred years old and that was her daughter. She was married to the OG Vought and was the first test subject for Compound V and says that Homelander is everything that they dreamed of when creating it. Goddamn it!!!
