I had seen that Netflix had this Sundance Channel produced series called Hap And Leonard and ignored it for a couple months. Seriously, the name of the show alone made it sound like some show about rednecks. Even the description seemed uninteresting to me. Then I saw that Michael K. Williams was in it and decided to give it a chance not knowing that it is based off a series of books or anything. This show is ridiculously good. Its about two guys named Hap and Leonard. Williams plays Leonard Pine who is a gay Vietnam vet and Hap Collins is a draft dodger played by James Purefoy. They are best friends who are very different from one another but their friendship seems so real. They have the kind of chemistry that people on other shows and movies can only dream of.

Death Becomes Her. American Psycho. Dr. Strangelove. These are dark comedies. I had no idea that the second film Cam and I saw for the night called God's Pocket was supposed to be one as well. After I found out that it was considered one my reaction was “Oh? Oh...okay. I guess I could see that. Kinda.” When a movie starts off with a sad ass looking funeral without a hint that something funny could even happen its hard to jump to that conclusion. This movie had a very strong cast including Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Christina Hendricks, John Turturro, Richard Jenkins, and Eddie Marsan. A lot of good people just wasted in this.

Since I couldn't laugh at this movie I had to watch it as a film that felt as if it didn't know where it needed to go. You see a couple that has uncomfortable looking sex followed by waking their drug using son up for work. He gets there, drops some n-bombs, and gets his punk ass killed by an old Black man. The crime is covered up and funeral plans are made. His mother (Hendricks) thinks that something else had to have happened since she thinks her son was a good kid. The step-father (Hoffman) and his friend (Turturro) have side scams that they are running. Money needs to be made to pay off bad men and for the kids funeral.

FAP FILES: Christina Hendricks

Here is Christina Hendricks. She is hot. Like fucking hot. As the great poet Bobby Brown once said “Too hot to handle too cold to hold.” I first saw a picture of her on a magazine and was like “Uh, who dat…?” in my sexiest of caveman like voices. She’s on the show Mad Men on AMC. I don’t care. I don’t have cable so I cant watch AMC. But I do have Google and can see as many pictures of her as I want.

Yes, I am fully aware that she is quite pale and that if I were to mate with her our children would likely come out gray in skin tone. Don’t care. She hot. And red isn’t even her natural hair color. I forget why she dyed it and honestly don’t care. As popular as she is there have been no goofy ass scandals with her. You wont see her stumbling out of clubs wearing heels with her dress over her head.

                                                                          

Women in Britain got bigger boobs because of her. She has changed a nation! Esquire named her The Sexiest Woman Alive last year. And if you saw her husband (actor Geoffrey Arend) and how unattractive he was you would lose your fucking mind! I know who he is and he is an unfortunate looking fella. See? She’s nice too.
