Episode
1 “The War on Easter”
Season
two of Happy! wasted no time going crazy. I loved the first season
and was afraid that this one wouldn't be as good. So far two episodes
in I am digging it. This begins with a bunch of nuns with bombs
strapped to their chests and crying. They seem upset, as they should
be, but ready to die together. That is until one of them books it and
starts trashing the city. The other nuns all break into sprints doing
the same. The nun that started the running gets tackled by another
who tells her to stop. She gets her ass kicked for being nice and the
running nun finds a glowing Easter egg in the trash. She presses the
stop button and all their bombs go off except for hers. She is
interrogated later and says that a evil bunny told them that the
detonator would only kill the person closest to it. The bunny lied.
Nick
Sax is trying to stay sober...kinda. Happy wakes his ass up at noon
all cheerful. Nick ends up spraying mint spray into his mouth that
has alcohol in it so he isn't 100% sober really. He goes to meet his
daughter at school and finds out that she has become a shit starter
and should go to a new school that costs an ass load of money. Nick
meets up with his ex wife Amanda and she is still suffering form PTSD
after last season and being held captive by Sonny Shines and that
insane fucking rave/sex/murder party he threw.
Speaking
of Sonny, his insane ass meets up with the Pope and tries to get
Easter changed and re-branded as in “Make Easter Great Again.” I
legit forgot how scary that dude was until he popped up on screen.
And creepy as shit too. That dude Blue (I really wish I had covered
the first season episode by episode like this one) is still in prison
and being possessed after he had a spirit whispered into his body.
This nun, Assunta (Isabella's aunt), is there with his sister
Isabella and just when the spirit is about to get into her through a
whisper Assunta stops her and explains that she knows what it is and
how it has been in the family hopping from body to body for
generations. She stabs Isabella in the ear and all about the face
killing her and damning the demon to Blue's body in prison.
This
dude tries following this young girl into a storage closet to bone
down and ends up captured by the leather clad bunny. Nick's old
partner/woman he cheated on his wife with Merry is a realtor now and
finds Nick sleeping in one of the houses she is showing. He wants to
use the place for when he has custody of Hailey. Nick is no longer
hired muscle and drives a cab to make money. It is not his cab as you
could see by the license. Not sure how he came into possession of
this. Probably murder. One night he picks this dude up who has a girl
running from him. He tells Nick that he needs a woman for a party so
Nick calls a lady and they show up to a hanger. She gets put into a
damn hospital gown and asked medical questions. Turns out they are
harvesting humans for some reason. Oh. It is for some old dude. Cool.
Nick ends up accidentally killing a couple guys before doing it on
purpose. And I'll be damned if the dude in the leather bunny outfit
ain't Smoothie from last season who is a eunuch that worked for Blue!
Episode
2 “Tallahassee”
This
episode begins with Nick having a nightmare about ripping a man apart
as his daughter watches and it becomes a life sized game of
Operation. He is woken by his ex wife showing up saying it is his
turn to take care of their daughter. She says she is hungry and opens
the fridge and it is full of human organs. In prison Blue who lost
his chance to escape when his sister was murdered is trying to get
out of there and suggests that he take a plea deal and go to Wyoming.
He previously had some crazy dream about riding a horse last episode.
His lawyer works for Sonny so that ain't happening. Also Smoothie has
that dude he captured dangling from the ceiling in leather chaps with
all his skin removed. But what bugs Smoothie is that fact that the
guys breath smells and gives him a breath mint and reminds him he
will die soon. A lot happens on this show quickly.
Nick
has to ask Happy what Hailey is into since he can't just drive her in
a cab all day. Happy says she likes horses so they go to the races.
He has her bet with imaginary money until it turns out she is really
good at this...until she isn't. She isn't having fun as her father is
losing his shit and acting like a lunatic about winning even when she
is ready to go. She even lies to her mom about where they are. Its a
bad thing but Nick looks at it like “Aww...”
Hailey
runs out of the place and into the son of the dude that was supposed
to get that transplant previously. The guy lets Nick know that they
found another match as a donor and wants him to handle it. Hailey
thinks he should help not knowing what the dude is really asking for.
Human body parts. By the way, Nick has to do this stuff to get money
to pay for the expensive ass school his bad ass daughter needs to go
to. Nick gets the address and tells Hailey to wait in the car. Of
course she comes in immediately saying she is hungry. They all sit to
eat and Nick finds out this dude is the son of the guy that needs a
kidney transplant and the dude is like “Nah.” Nick calls the guy
and he low key threatens Nick's daughter. Nick goes to the guys spot
and kills everyone there. Hailey knows he did but he lies to her.
Merry
catches up with Blue's lawyer and beats him for information. Sonny is
blackmailing folks. Amanda is losing her shit and has a wine fest
with Amanda. She ends up meeting this guy who she brings home and
Nick beats his ass until he realizes the guy is not a threat and that
his ex is now fucking the guy. Sonny has Blue beaten in prison. I am
not even sure this guy can die with that spirit in him at this point.
This show is insane and wasting no time. It is a lot of information
but still good.
