1 “Wartime”
My god
this show. I started watching season three of Ozark on Netflix today
and I am gonna review it episode by episode. I loved the first and
second seasons and I don't know how folks are able to binge a show
this damn intense without having stupid dreams or retaining all the
information. I can do it with some shows but this sure ain't one of
'em. I am gonna be bouncing all over the place with this by the way
since there are a lot of characters and everyone is actually
important. Down in Mexico this delivery dude looks to be dropping off
a package and the next thing you know he stabs the cashier in the
hand and slits his throat. He then head sot the back burning money
and blows these two dudes up. As money is flying around outside he
sets another bomb off in the crowd. This show is wasting zero time
getting intense.
Meanwhile
back at home Marty and Wendy are not doing better with the raggedy
ass marriage. She wants to expand the business while Marty is trying
to play it safe. And by playing it safe I mean laundering money for
the cartel. They end up going to couples therapy and Wendy gets
pissed saying that the therapist is always on his side. After the
therapy Marty heads back inside and pays the lady and tells her to go
harder on him next time because Wendy is being suspicious. He is
paying the woman! Helen, the badass woman that works directly with
the cartel gets waterboarded by her own people because her ex husband
and flies out to meet Marty and Wendy. Wendy pulls her aside and
brings up a plan to help the cartel legally and the shit works and
she gets a meeting with the main dude. She then heads to their old
home and fucks around in there like an idiot. I was so pissed she
even went there. Oh, and the Byrde kids are being themselves. The son
wants to do virtual “goldmining” for cash and fly a drone his
sister bought him around the house for extra protection. His parents
want him to get a regular summer job. Good luck with that!
Darlene,
the old lady that runs the poppy farm and has the baby of that dead
pastor goes to new mom groups and is a general nuisance. She gets
upset by this young mother and stabs her tire with a knife. She ends
up at the police station and overhears that Ruth's brother Wyatt has
been arrested for squatting. Wyatt refuses to take Ruth's money after
she admitted that she killed her uncle (his father). He was living in
this family's home until they arrived and tasered his ass. Darlene
ends up bailing him out and offers him to pay it off by working on
her farm. This is gonna get so damn bad. Back at work on the casino
boat Ruth is trying to run it well and follow rules when Frank
Cosgrove Jr., whose dad runs the mafia, starts shit and she has him
kicked out. He confronts her and ends up kicked in the dick and
tossed overboard by her. The look on Marty's face watching all of
this was priceless. First episode and I am all in to see what this
crazy ass family gets into.
