Theater Whore: Kick Ass 2
Yay! A good movie! Seriously, this summer has been full of so much disappoint in the theaters that I am so glad that Kick Ass 2 didn’t suck. I don’t know what I would’ve done if it had been bad. Start a riot. Kick shit over. Or come home and write a strongly worded blog. Yeah. That’s closer to reality. I liked the first film a lot so I have been looking forward to this one for quite a while.
Kick Ass comes back comes out of retirement after a bunch of others in the public have started wearing costumes and fighting crime. He and Hit Girl are in school and she has never stopped fighting crime. She has been adopted by her dad’s former partner and friend played by Morris Chestnut. He suspects that she is still fighting but she tells him she isn’t. Kick Ass joins a group called Justice Forever lead by Jim Carrey’s Colonel Stars And Stripes. Other include Battle Guy and Night-Bitch.
Hit Girl is found out by her new dad and she promises him that she will stop which pisses off Kick Ass. She starts hanging out with the popular girls and even goes on a date with a guy until she finds out that they were playing her and they leave her out in the woods. She ends up hitting them with a “sick stick” that makes them shit and vomit at the same time during lunch.
Christopher Mintz-Plasse who was Red Mist in the first film accidentally kills his mother in the tanning bed because he is pissed she wont let him leave the house since he wants to kill Kick Ass for killing his dad. He and his guardian are cleaning his mothers stuff when he finds her sex toys and dominatrix outfit. He wears it and renames himself The Motherfucker.
The Motherfucker creates his own evil team consisting of Black Death (a Black guy), The Tumor (a small evil guy), and Mother Russia (a large Russian woman who ate her cellmate). He goes full fucking evil and starts killing people left and right. Well, his team does. Mother Russia is fucking awesome by the way.
This movie is violent as fuck. I know the first one was but this is way more violent and its awesome. It felt a bit rushed towards the end. Like, the way it all resolved itself made me wish that they had added at least fifteen more minutes. I’m not sure if I’d stick around for a third Kick Ass movie. The movie kinda leaves room for it but I don’t think it would be necessary.
