"Bad Ass Mofo": Bruce Lee
“I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.” Bruce Lee
Not since Genghis Khan has one man done more to make people afraid of Asians that are upset than our Bad Ass Mofo of the week Bruce Lee. As a child he made me think that anyone from Asia knew kung fu which every Asian should thank him for. How many ass kicking’s have been averted by simply going “Woooooooo!!!”? A lot probably. With all the praise that Chuck Norris gets people tend to forget one thing. He whipped Norris’ ass!
Norris grew a beard to cover his disfigurement.
And he ripped his chest hair out. Bruce was that awesome. There is not a fan of this man that hasn’t tried the infamous One Inch Punch. Oh, you don’t know what that is? Where have you been? Are you new to the planet Earth? If so allow me to show you what the hell a One Inch Punch is performed by the man himself!
You see that shit?! He sent dude flying with a punch from that close. You could get a running start from Botswana and not send a man flying back like that, Mary. His exercise regimen was ridiculous as well. He could kick a 300 pound punching bag and make it hit the ceiling. Did you know that Lee was also in a street gang. Here’s what happened during one memorable encounter with a rival gang member.
“In one of his last encounters, while removing his jacket the fellow he was squaring off against sucker punched him and blackened his eye. Bruce flew into a rage and went after him, knocking him out, breaking his opponent's arm.”
And that’s not all. In one of the strangest moments in my young childhood I watched as one of the coolest martial artists in the world squared off against one of the best NBA players in the world, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. In one of the most surreal scenes ever filmed Bruce Lee kicked Kareem in the face. Nothing in your life will ever top this moment.
Nothing.
Bruce Lee was one of the toughest men to ever walk the planet. Perhaps he was too tough for it. He died at a very early age as did his son Brandon Lee. If you ever have the chance to sit and watch an interview with him. He doesn’t shout or get crazy. But you can see that there is a confidence about him where he knows he is the most dangerous and talented thing in the room and doesn’t have to do anything to prove it. Plus, if he felt like it he could kick your asshole through the top of your head.
